Tennessee and Dallas made a deal yesterday to send Pacman Jones to the Cowboys for a 4th round pick in Saturday’s NFL Draft. If Jones is reinstated for the 2008 season, Dallas will also send a 6th round pick to the Titans in next year’s draft.
The Cowboys and Pacman also agreed on the terms of a 4 year deal when the cornerback is cleared to play.
You know, I am not really surpised that Dallas picked him up. The Cowboys need help in the secondary and a little bit of drama goes a long way.
Will it work out? Stay Tuned.

Yesterday, I learned that former Rams S Willie Gary filed a 100 million dollar law suit against the New England Patriots, team owner Robert Kraft, and head coach Bill Belichick for the alleged taping of Rams practices before Super Bowl XXXVI.
I dont know what to make out of this but if the U.S. District Court continues with this, watch the Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers and even the Jets file lawsuits of thier own.
In my opnion, the lawsuit is pointless and all it is doing is givng this “story” more legs. If Gary and the Rams felt so passionate about this matter, why didnt they do this six years ago? They are only coming out with this because it is open season on the Patriots. When New England lost the Super Bowl, the whole “Spygate” matter intensified.
This is pointless beacuse winning that suit may give the Rams and Gary some money but the fact of the matter is they cannot and will not get the Lombardi trophy. This may not even go to trial.
As far as Spygate as a whole is concerned, this goes beyond football.
Check out the next entry.

Today,Randy Moss vehemently denied allegations of a Ft. Lauderdale woman claiming that the All Pro Receiver committed battery. Moss claims that this is extortion!
“They’re false allegations. Something I have been battling for like the last couple of days of threats going public if I didn’t pay X amount of dollars” He said.
This is what we know so far.
-The incident allegedly happened on Jan. 6 on New England’s bye week.
-The woman in question knew Randy for 11 years, and he is not denying that something happened but he is denying “battery” and claiming the incident as an accident.
-The woman and her reps issued a restraining order on Moss.
-No Charges filed
-No police report
-Hearing scheduled Jan. 28
As it stands right now, I want to give Randy the benefit of the doubt. Yeah, everyone knows about the incidents in that past but they are by no means like this one since he came into the league. Moss have been doing everything possible to a productive member of the Patriots. So why would he throw it away over this kind of drama?
The problem I have with this is: Why didn’t Rachelle Washington report this incident promptly? Why did she wait until the AFC Championship Game to come out with this? According to Moss, Washington has her own house and own ride, why didnt she seek medical attention? It wasnt like Moss could stop her.
Right now, the media, critics and everyone in between should reserve judgement until more facts surface.

One-Time Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was sentenced to prison Monday for running a dogfighting ring. Vick received a longer sentence than his associates, up to 23 months because he didnt come clean immediately.
Last month, Vick turned himself in early but it doesn’t matter at this point because he is looking at a Spring ‘09 release. Initally lying aside, 23 months is harsh for a first time offender! There have been some cases where rapist, murderers and pedophiles that have lesser sentences than Vick’s
Vick is a first time offender, so he should have received a sentence in the ball park of 9-12 months. Vick’s lawyers may want to go for a appeal and cite the Federal Prison Bureau Nonviolent Offender Relief Act to help their client. Formed in 2003, this act was formed to provide an alternate release date for certain nonviolent offenders and for other purposes. Vick fits this category down to the letter.
Was Vick wrong for dogfighting? absolutely, and he was wrong for not coming clean initially. I realize that Vick could have received five years but 23 months is still too much.
Three questions here. Do you agree with the Federal Judges decision? If not, how much time you think Vick should have received? Do you think that he will be in football shape when released?

Currently, Police is treating the crime like a botched robbery. I have a question for you all! After watching the video, do you believe the Mitchell family? Do you believe their defense and allegation?

” This is such a tragic, horrible unnecessary death–another example of the incessant violence in this city and this country” -Attorney Richard Sharpstein
Redskins Saftey Sean Taylor died early Tuesday morning, a day after he was shot by an intruder in his home. Taylor was 24.
Contrary to previous reportes, Taylor was shot in the groin and suffered massive blood from a severed femoral artery. There was hope when it was reported that Taylor squeezed a nurse’s hand. As more details emerge, now we know that
-There was a break in eight days prior to this incident, and Taylor asked for premisson from Coach Joe Gibbs to stay in the area to handle the situation.
-Late Sunday night, Taylor and his girlfriend were startled by noises in his Palmetto Bay home. Taylor then grabbed a machette from underneath his bed and went to investigate the noises. An armed intruder fired two shots one of them fatally pierced Taylor’s groin.
-Taylor’s baby daughter was also in the bedroom and she slepted through the shooting.
-It is being reported that the phone lines were cut and Taylor’s girlfriend called 911 on her cell phone.
At this point, it is unkonwn if this incident was related in any way to the 2005 incident in which he was arrested on felony charges of waving a gun at people he belive had stolen his ATV. Taylor ended up pleaing no contest to misdamenor assault and battery. After the plea, one of the men that Taylor accuesed sued him for lost wages and medical bills.
Taylor was trying to steer clear of bad company for the sake of his daughter. Taylor’s cousin and FSU safety Anthony Leon said “Sean wasn’t a bad guy at all. He got his personality on the football field and off of it, All he was trying to do was protect his family. And they shot him”
The Red Zone sends its condolences to the Taylor family and the Redskins Family.

According to the Miami Herald, Sean Taylor’s Palmetto Bay home was broken into 8 days before the shooting.
The story said that suspects broke into the house, went through Taylor’s things and left a kitchen knife on the bed. Miami-Dade reports also stated that someone broke into Taylor’s house on Nov. 17 and Nov. 18, by prying open a front window. The bugulars went through several rooms and they were looking through drawers and a safe.
According to the All Pro’s Attorney, Richard Sharpstein, there are quite a few people jealous of Taylor’s success. Right now, that is the understatement of the day.
Taylor’s surgery ended around 12:30 p.m. However due to the ammount of blood lost, his brain is at risk of injury. Currently, Taylor is in ICU and doctors gave his family permisson to visit.

Washington Redskins Safety Sean Taylor was shot and wounded at his Palmetto Bay home early Monday morning. At this point, details are still vague but this is what we know thus far-
Miami-Dade Police were sent to Taylor’s home around 1:45 a.m. after Taylors’ live in girlfriend called 911 and said he was shot. Taylor was then airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he is in critical condition. Redskins officials are now saying that Taylor is in a coma. It is unkonwn if it was medically induced.
Currently, Miami-Dade Police are investigating the possiblity of a robbery or a buglary at the home.
Keep Taylor, his family and the Redskins in your prayers.

“I think the Patriots actually live by the saying, ‘If you’re not cheating, you are not trying.’ They live off of that statement. Nothing surprises me really. You keep hearing about stuff that they do.”
-Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson
NFL Comissioner Roger Goodell announced today that the New England Patriots did indeed violate league rules when a team official used a camera to spy to record the Jets’ defensive signals.
When I heard about this, I thought that the Jets were spearheading this investigation, and they were just salty because they got jacked up and blown out. Apparently this isn’t the first time this went on with New England. Last year, the Packers accused the team of doing the same thing!
The biggest question here is WHY? Why in the hell would the team stoop so low to gain an advantage when they have such a loaded team on offense? The answer is this: GREED! Don’t get me wrong, great team (Moss, Rodney Harrison, Stallworth, Adalieus Thomas, Junior Seau) but Bellichek is foul for this.
Honestly, I’m looking at this team like they are retarded because they are stealing signals from the damn New York Jets! Now, I can see the Patriots spying on Baltimore, San Diego, and Indianapolis! Spying on New York is senseless and absurd!
I believe that the NFL should open this thing up all the way and investigate games from six years ago-even the Super Bowls! If they find more issues, the NFL should make the Patriots forfiet games and pay out of the ass in fines and draft picks!

On the heels of Michael Vick’s three-charge federal indictment, there actually have been talks about him going to to training camp and actually playing this season. If this happens, Comissioner Goodell would be labeled as a hypocrite.
Remember folks, Pacman Jones have not been charged with anything as of yet and he is suspended, while Vick is eligible to play at this point. If Goodell suspend Jones and anyone else who may break the conduct and drug policies, he should suspend Vick for the entire season! No one should be immune to the recent crackdown on character in the league.
While watching ESPN’s NFL Live, one of the reporters mentioned that Goodell is discriminating against positions. Honestly, this guy may be right. You see, the quarterback is considered the most glamours yet difficult postion to play in the NFL. When the indictment was known, the league issueed the following statement:
“We are disappointed that Michael Vick has put himself in a position where a federal grand jury has returned an indictment against him. We will continue to closely monitor developments in this case, and to cooperate with law enforcement authorities. The activities alleged are cruel, degrading and illegal. Michael Vick’s guilt has not yet been proven, and we believe that all concerned should allow the legal process to determine the facts. This matter will be reviewed under the League’s Personal Conduct Policy.”
Okay, where was this statement when Pacman was “making it rain”? Where was this statement in the midst of Urlacher’s paternity issues? Where was this statement in all of the misadventures of Tank Johnson? Doesn’t these incidents tarnish the NFL’s image too?
I guess Jones, Urlacher, and Johnson do not deserve this kind of scolding because they are not quarterbacks. You cannot make differences in positions. All of them must follow the policy or get suspended, end of story!
